Buying Used Video Games

Used GamesWith today’s economy in the turmoil it is many of us find ourselves tightening our belts and trying to make that all mighty dollar stretch as far as possible.
We’re shopping at the Dollar store, we quit buying our clothes at Ayres and started shopping at Wal-Mart, and we often find ourselves sitting at home during the weekend playing the same old video games.

You would like to buy a new video game but they are so darn expensive!
That $50 to $60 dollars could go towards other things, such as food!
But you are totally bored out of your mind and need to save the world in some new and unique ways.

So what to do? Should you spend $50 to $60 dollars on a single game that you’ll most likely get through over the weekend?
Well you could do that and be kicking yourself in the rear after finishing it by Monday. Not to mention you are now faced with the same situation for the next weekend.

Or you could consider buying Used Video Games and turning that single game into several games that will give you many weekends of total world domination.

I know, you hate to buy used stuff, but these are not ordinary times are they?
Just think about it, once you remove the cellophane and packaging, what is the difference between the new games and the pre-played games?
The game plays the same and looks the same. And if shopped for correctly you can take the money that it would cost for a single game and turn it into 5 or more pre-played video games.

I know that lot of people hesitate when it comes to buying used video games just for the sake of getting “something new”. And I can understand this for items that you are giving as a gift, displaying, or are collecting.
But when it comes to those video games that are going to be stacked in a pile after it’s been mastered, what does it matter if the item was obtained new or used?
So what if there is a coffee stain on the manual? Who cares if the case has a crack in it? As long as the disk is playable that is all you care about. The fun and excitement comes from playing the game, not looking at the cover.

So how much can you save by buying used video games?
I can say that I often see “Like New Games” selling for 75% off of the retail value and many with a condition of “Very Good” going for 95% off!

A 95% savings! That is nothing to sneeze at. For the cost of 2 new video games you can stock up for quite some time by purchasing used video games.

If you are concerned about getting your used video games in good condition there really is no need to be.
If you buy your used video games from a reputable reseller they usually test their products or screen third party merchants before selling the products.

I know that there are some situations and drawbacks in purchasing used games.

The game may be in worse condition than the merchant claimed.
The game may not be able to be registered in your name so all support and warrantees are void.
Online games may have already used their trial periods.
But if none of this matters and you’re looking to restock your video game rack why not stock the entire rack instead of just a couple of slots?

HomeComputerGames.com carries a large array of Used Video Games at savings of up to 95%.
You will find the Used Game Offers right alongside the New Purchase Offer. Look on the right hand side.
Used Game Offers are from “like new”, “very good”, “good”, and “acceptable” conditions.
Many high end games can be had for under $10 in “Like New” condition if you keep your eye on the sales.

So be financially smart and extend your gaming, Buy Used Video Games!
